Amistad is about a 1839 mutiny onboard a slave ship that is traveling
towards the Northeast Coast of America. Much of the story involves a
courtroom drama about the slave who led the revolt. Stars: Morgan Freeman,

Underground (1995)
Free and open to the public. Set in Yugoslavia from 1941 to 1992, this
black comedy follows the adventures of Marko and his best friend Blacky.
They run a black-market operation and lead Communist Party meetings while
trying to avoid the Gestapo in WWII Belgrade. Hiding out in a cellar, where
refugees have put together a munitions factor, the treacherous Marko manages
to convince everyone that the war is still going on 20 years later. The
final section sees Marko dealing arms and drugs amidst the breakup of
Yuogslavia. In Serbo-Croatian with English subtitles.
