The Full Monty (1997) movie picture

A group of laid-off Yorkshire mill workers come up with a unique way to earn some money in this amusing British comedy. When exuberant Gaz (Robert Carlyle) notices women lining up to see the Chippendale dancers, he persuades his friends to launch their own striptease act, but these guys are hardly cover boy material: They're overweight, middle-aged, shy, and depressed. Nevertheless, they turn out to be an unexpected success.

Heinlein's novel, a group of young school chums (Casper Van Dien, Dina Meyer, and Neil Patrick Harris) decide to do their patriotic duty, join the federal service, and fight a race of giant alien bugs that are trying to destroy the Earth. Paul Verhoeven, director of Robocop and Total Recall, wittily conjoins adrenaline- pumped Us vs. Them camaraderie and heroicism with black humor and lustful entaglements.
