A Night at the Opera (1935) In, arguably, the Marx Brothers' funniest movie, Groucho helps Rosa (Kitty Carlisle), an opera singer, be with her love, a chorus man (Allan Jones). Groucho meets Chico, a friend of Allan, and they plan to get him a job working with Rosa. They arrive in New York disguised as three Italian aviators, are pursued by impersonating sleuths, wreck opening night, and literally bring the house down.
