(James Stewart) drawn into a complex plot when a friend hires him for a
routine assignment. As Hitchcock obscures the boundary between reality and
illusion, the detective's obsession with Madeleine (Kim Novak) takes him to
the brink of insanity.

Nominated for numerous Academy Awards, including best picture, best actress,
and best supporting actress.
