Dr. Strangelove: Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
It is the early 1960's and a United States Air Force general is plotting a nuclear war with Russia which may destroy the world. Directed by Stanley Kubrick (2001:A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange), this black comedy was nominated for four Academy Awards in 1963: Best picture, Best script, Best Director and Best Actor (Peter Sellers as the U.S. President, a Royal Air Force captain, and a mad German-American scientist).
